Registration started on July 27 for the West Point Parks and Recreation Department’s fall activities. Registration is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The final day for registration is Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Registrations will require both a birth certificate and signed paperwork by the child’s guardian. Registrations can be made online but not over the phone.

If a child is registered after the final day of registration, they will be added to a waiting list, which the recreation staff will place the child in the specified program when space is available.

There are seven fall programs this upcoming fall. They include football, flag football, cheerleading, soccer, a soccer clinic, Zumba and petit ballet.

Football will be conducted at the West Point Football field starting in August. The registration fee is $35. Flag football will start in September and will be at the West Point City Park. The registration fee for flag football is also $35.

Cheerleading’s registration fee is $35 a child and will start in September at the West Point Football Field.

Soccer will be conducted at the West Point City Park starting in September with the registration being $35 a child. The soccer clinic is open to all youth soccer participants and will be held on Sept. 3.

Zumba classes will be held at the 602 building located at 602 2nd Ave. The cost per lesson, which will be paid at the door, is $5 for one class, $25 for five classes or $40 for 10 classes. Classes will be an hour long running from 6 p.. to 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday or 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays.

Petit ballet and Tap will start on Sept. 4. The registration fee is $55. There will be two classes. The first, which runs from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., will be for ages 3 through 6, while ages 6 through 12 will run from 5:15 p.m. until 6 p.m.
