Mrs. Connie Rosetta Adams Lawson, age 79, of West Point, passed away on Oct. 22, 2023.
Mrs. Lawson was born on Feb. 9, 1944, in Roanoke, Alabama to the late Archie Monroe Adams, Sr. and Lillian Halsey Adams.
She was the Matriarch of our family, and loved us until God called her home.
Rosetta retired from Walmart as a Sales Associate in the Shoe Department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Martha Seymour Bright, Peggy Sue Lynn (the late Kenneth), grandchildren, Jonathan Kelley and Michael Williams and nephew Rickey Seymour (the late Patty).
Survivors include her husband, Regles Dean Lawson. They had been together for over forty-two years. Additional survivors include her daughters, Denna’ Muncy and Monica King; step-children, Debbie Ivey (Charlie), Sandra Childers (Andy) and Susan Kelley; brother, Archie Adams, Jr.; grandchildren, Sean Cole, Brandi Pigford (William), Amber Cruz (Aaron), Clayton Maxcy, Phoenix Amburn, Lauren Martin (Michael), Leslie Teague (Jordy) and Luke Kelley (Christy); great-grandchildren, Hae’dynce Frazier, Lei’lyah Pigford, Mae’alani Pigford, Isla Cruz, Harper Grace Martin, Hadley Claire Martin and Sutton Reese Teague; sister-in-law, Diane Richardson (the late Billy); nieces and nephews that she helped raise, Susan Maddox (the late Charles), Johnny Seymour (Darlene), Paul Seymour (the late Lorrie) and Jerry Seymour (Hope); special friend, Gloria Harrison; and extended family.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wed, Oct. 25, 2023, at 4 P.M. at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Pastor Cleve Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens. Family, will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home beginning at 3 P.M.
