“Rink” in the New Year

For those looking for a way to ring in the new year, The Skatin’ Rink is hosting the 2024 New Year’s Skate Party on Dec. 31 from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET.
There is a flat rate of $15 to attend, which includes skate rentals and party favors. Their concession stand will be open, however, it is a family event so there will be no champagne served.
The night will consist of games and races on the rink for each skill level. Around 11 p.m. the attendees will return their skates for a dance party around the DJ booth. The rink will hand out favors including 2024 glasses and noisemakers.
At midnight, the rink will have its “ball drop”, which are five mirrored skates that come down from the ceiling, similar to disco balls. There will be confetti cannons to bring the 2024 in with a bang. Owners Jason and Carmen Turnham want residents to “pack it out” this Sunday.
