Chambers County School District goes virtual, Lanett closed for Friday with severe weather possible

The Chambers County School District is shifting to virtual school instruction for all students & staff for Friday, Jan. 12, according to a press release from the school district.
CCSD said the decision was made after consulting with Chambers County EMA & the National Weather Service due to a potential storm risk with 70 mph winds and tornadoes.
Chambers County is under a slight risk for severe weather on Friday, according to the National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center.
