LaFayette continues area dominance at home

The LaFayette Bulldogs continued their dominance in the area as LaFayette dominated Reeltown 65-33 at home. 

Early on, the game was much closer than most would have expected. The Bulldogs struggled on offense in the first half and led just 18-11 after the first period. 

In the second period, LaFayette went on a scoring drought that lasted seven minutes. Then, the Bulldogs seemed to find their footing.

LaFayette scored nine points in the last minute of the second period to push their lead to 27-18 at halftime.
The second half was a completely different story for the Bulldogs. LaFayette completely stifled Reeltown in the third period, outscoring the Rebels 18-9 in the frame. 

That dominance continued in the final period as the Bulldogs outscored Reeltown 20-7 to close out the game. 

Vaderrian Story was in true form on Wednesday as he stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, four rebounds and three steals. 

DeAundra Vines has been the team’s leader this season at point guard. Vines finished with 16 points, six rebounds and four steals. Branaviyun Story finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and one steal. 

The Bulldogs are off to a dominant start this season, currently sitting with a 14-5 record and a 4-0 record in area play. 

LaFayette puts its undefeated area record on the line on Friday as the Bulldogs host Lanett.
