Lanett City Schools and Chambers County School District announced school will be delayed on Tuesday, Jan. 10, due to the inclement weather.

Lanett City Schools will start at 10 a.m, according to a statement from Superintendent Jennifer Boyd. Students can begin reporting at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time.

Chambers County Schools will start at two hours later than normally scheduled. Assistant Superintendent David Owen released a statement stating that after speaking with the Chambers County EMA, the decision was made. Due to the threat of severe weather and flash flooding, the school buses will need to delay picking up students.
