Chamber to hold candidate forum ahead of primary election

Voters will have another opportunity to hear from the candidates running opposed before the March primary election during the Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce’s primary candidate forum on Feb. 29.
The event will be held at the Valley City Hall at 6 p.m. ET and will host all the candidates running opposed on the primary ballot. The forum will be moderated by the Valley Times-News.
On the primary ballot, there will be the probate judge, district 1 school board member and school district superintendent. Superintendent Casey Chambley, Sharon Weldon, District 1 School Board member Jeffery Finch, Reco Newton, Probate Judge Paul Story and Troy Davis will be in attendance.
During the forum, each candidate will have the opportunity to answer questions on various topics.
