Beulah baseball falls at home against Dadeville

The Beulah Bobcats could not come back from an early deficit on Wednesday as Beulah fell to Dadeville 7-3 at home. 

The Tigers got the game started with a score on a passed ball in the top of the second inning, but Dadeville really took control of the game in the top of the fourth inning. 

Dadeville scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning with two singles, a double, a walk and a ground out. The Tigers kept adding onto the lead with three more runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Beulah’s offense finally started to show signs of life in the bottom of the seventh inning. Brayden Tapley got the Bobcats on the board with an RBI double. Drew Duval then drove in Tapley with a single into center field. Wes Grant rounded out the scoring for the Bobcats with an RBI single. 

Brady Blackson got the start for Beulah on the mound. Blackston allowed four earned runs, four walks, six hits and struck out two batters in four innings. Beulah used four pitchers in relief on Wednesday for the final three innings. 

Jadin Hancock replaced Blackston in the fifth inning and allowed three earned runs in ⅓ of an inning. Wes Grant replaced Hancock and finished the fifth inning. Tapley and Kason Kalla pitched the final two innings and allowed no runs. 

The Bobcats are now 7-9 on the season. Up next for Beulah is a matchup on the road against Dadeville on Thursday.
