On March 1, 2024 Lanett Police Department along with Lanett Fire and Ems responded to a Report of a person that was shot at 1308 South Gilmer Avenue, Lanett, AL Pawn City. Upon arrival, Officers located a subject a block away as he fled the scene. Jamal Barker 35, of Valley AL, was checked out by Lanett Fire and EMS and he sustained an injury to his lower back from the incident. He refused Medical Treatment and was released after signing a medical release.
