The Beulah Bobcats had one more miraculous comeback in store for the fans that made the trip to Childersburg as Beulah beat the Tigers 6-4 to win the 3A-Area 7 championship.

A day after coming back to beat Childersburg on a walk-off, the Bobcats needed another rally to secure the area. Beulah came into the top of the seventh inning down two and three more outs would have forced the Bobcats to face Childersburg one more time for the area title.

Wes Grant got the rally started with a one-out double. Then, Sye Siggers drove in Grant with a single to cut the deficit to one. The bases were then loaded with two outs for Ryder Lowerey, but Childersburg struggled to get the final out as the Tigers would hit the next three batters to give Beulah a 6-4 lead.

The Bobcats needed just three more outs with Grant, who replaced Drew Duval in the fourth inning, on the mound. Grant allowed a base runner on a single, but he had no problem finishing the Tigers off.

Beulah had the lead early on as Brady Blackston drove in two runs with a single in the top of the third inning, but Childersburg rallied with a run in the bottom half and took the lead with three more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Blackston and Grant led the Bobcats with two hits apiece. Blackston added two RBIs while Grant scored two runs.

Beulah had not won the area in more than a decade, and now the Bobcats will host a playoff series beginning on Friday.
