On Thursday, April 18 at approximately 10:40 a.m. ET. Chambers County deputies responded to a 911 call in the 4000 block of County Road 299 near Cusseta AL. in reference to a person being struck by a train.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased white female lying on the tracks. Investigators responded from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and CSX Railroad. The victim was later identified as Donna Michelle Watkins, 41, of Valley AL.

The body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy and the incident remains under investigation by the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office at this time.
