Pastor Donald Terry “Don” Daum — 1943-2019

Pastor Donald Terry “Don” Daum, 76, left his earthly body for his heavenly home with Jesus on Aug. 25 in LaGrange. Don was born in Atlanta on June 11, 1943, to the late Richard and Alice Terry Daum. Don was raised and also ordained into the ministry at East Point Christian Church in East Point, Georgia. He graduated from Headland High School in East Point in 1961. Don attended Milligan College in Elizabethton, Tennessee, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible Studies. Don also received a Masters of Divinity from Southern Baptist Seminary and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Louisville both located in Louisville, Kentucky.

Don’s early ministry and calling was to plant Christian churches in the Metro Atlanta area. He then ministered as Associate Pastor at West Gwinnett Christian Church in Duluth, Georgia. He also served as Pastor at Shenandoah Christian Church in Newnan Georgia, Surfside Church of Christ in Surfside Beach, South Carolin and Countryside Christian church in Warner Robins, Georgia. After this, Don started Feagin Mill Christian Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. This church then merged with Centerpoint Church in Warner Robins.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Hyer Daum and Alice Claire Terry Daum; his mother and father-in-law, Clifton E. and Donna Yeagley Holliday.

Don is survived by his wife, Cheryl Holliday Daum; son, Adam Daum; sister, DeAnna (Steve) Barnett; brother, Douglas (Christy) Daum; many adoring nieces and nephews; cousins and cousins-in-law; great-nieces and nephews; two great-great-nieces; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Daniel) Vargo and Dena (Frank) Harrigan; and brother-in-law, Douglas (Beverly) Holliday.

Don was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

The family will greet friends for visitation on Sept. 15 at 3 p.m. EDT. at Spring Road Christian Church in Lanett. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. EDT. at the Chapel of Spring Road Christian Church.

Pastors Ron Lewis and Jason Comer will officiate.

The family will gratefully accept flowers, but would prefer donations be made to the “Woodland Camp Office Fire Rebuild” c/o Spring Road Christian Church or to “Centerpoint Church Building Fund” on 1197 Feagin Mill Rd in Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
